Why is dental care important?
80% of cats and dogs over 3 years old have periodontal disease. Untreated dental tartar leads to bad breath, loss of appetite, tooth loss and systemic infections (heart, kidney). Regular dental care can extend your pet's life by 2-4 years.
How is dental scaling performed?
Ultrasonic dental scaling is performed under general anaesthesia — this is essential for the animal's comfort and to ensure thorough cleaning. The process: pre-anaesthetic check, ultrasonic scaling, polishing of the tooth surface, extraction of any decayed teeth, and dental X-rays if needed.
What does eye care cover?
Our eye examinations include: corneal and retinal assessment, intraocular pressure measurement (glaucoma screening), cataract evaluation in seniors, and monitoring of chronic conjunctivitis. Brachycephalic (flat-faced) breeds follow a special protocol.
